Community Guidelines

Rules designed to keep CaliLane's community respectful, useful and safe.

Be respectful

Treat people with respect. Harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, sexual exploitation, humiliation, stalking and targeted abuse are not allowed. Do not encourage others to attack or isolate a person.

Protect privacy

Share only information and images you have the right to share. Do not publish another person's private contact details, health information, location, identity documents or private conversations without permission. Do not impersonate another person or organisation.

Health and body content

Do not present unqualified claims as medical fact, encourage dangerous restriction, purging, self-harm, steroid misuse or other harmful behaviour, or shame people for their body, food choices or ability. Personal experiences must not be framed as diagnosis or guaranteed treatment.

Illegal and harmful content

Content that facilitates violence, exploitation, fraud, illegal drug sales, malware, unauthorised access, sexual content involving minors or other unlawful conduct is prohibited. Graphic content may be restricted even when not illegal.

Spam and commercial activity

Do not spam, manipulate engagement, run deceptive promotions, sell regulated products, recruit for scams or repeatedly post irrelevant commercial links. Approved partnerships and clearly identified brand activity must follow any additional CaliLane rules.

Intellectual property

Post only content you created or are authorised to use. Give credit where appropriate and respect trademarks, copyright and publicity rights. Recipe ideas and facts may not be protected in the same way as original text and photographs, but copied presentation and media can still infringe rights.

Reporting and moderation

Use the reporting tools for content or behaviour that may breach these guidelines. Reports should be honest and specific. We may remove content, limit visibility, warn users, suspend accounts or preserve evidence when reasonably necessary. Repeated false reporting may itself lead to action.

Appeals

Where available, you may ask us to review a moderation decision. Provide the account, content and reason for the appeal. We may maintain a decision when necessary for safety, law, privacy or enforcement consistency.

The complete legal text is published for transparency before launch. The registered company name and organisation number will be inserted after the new limited company has been registered. No private residential address will be published. The documents will be reviewed again before CaliLane launches publicly.
